How do you handle the constant hate against LGBTQ+ people?

The LGBTQ+ community gets so much hate from people these days, it's still sad that we can't come to some sort of equality. I don't care what you choose to do with your life or body, you're free to do what you want. I am a straight white dude, but I have no issues with the way people live their lives, as long as they're not hurting anyone else, I don't care what you do.

With that being said, I want to ask those who are LGBTQ+ how do you handle the constant hate you get? I imagine the hate varies person to person, but no one should be receiving hate for how they want to live their lives. And now with the offensive talking points about how trans people are committing murders, or gay people are trying to change everyone gay, and other hateful comments.

Why can't people just live their lives and leave others alone?

I live in a country where LGBTQ rights have been enshrined in the constitution. Law recognizes gay marriages and gay parents. Society is also open to LGBTQ people. They are not hated or discriminated. However, exceptions are always there, some LGBTQ people do face stigmatization, some section of the society like to exclude LGBTQ from the rights and privileges.

That's great that your country is for LGBTQ rights, because I wish the US pushed more for equality in that way. Of course there will always be some form of hate towards LGBTQ people, but I'm glad your country is so in support of their equality. May I ask what country you live in?
