How often do you deal with burnout, and how do you overcome it?

Burnout is something we all go through. How often would you guys say you deal with burnout? Maybe it's from a long day of work, or weeks and months of work that keeps weighing you down. When it comes to burnout for me, I often have to take a step back and just reassess the situation. I think we all need to take more breaks, especially when needed. I think jobs should require more breaks to help people recover from a long day of work.

But, how do you deal with burnout? Like I said, I like to take breaks when needed. Sometimes you need to take a day even. Take those mental health days if you need a break. More jobs are starting to understand that we need to deal with our own mental health once in a while and I think more jobs will start to implement more breaks and more PTO even.

Other things I find that helps is to take your mind off of your work. I will sometimes play video games, hang out with some friends on Discord and watch movies, or just relax with some YouTube. Or maybe I will take the day and rest.

Dealing with burnout is a reoccurring issue in my life these days, what i normally do in situations like this is to simply take a break and rest.

I face burnout occasionally, especially during intense work or creative phases. To overcome it, I take breaks, practice mindfulness, and switch to lighter activities. Rest and resetting my mindset help me recharge and come back more focused and motivated.

I am workaholic. I work every day, usually for 10-12 hours. However, excessive working sometimes cause me burn out. When I start experiencing burn out, I stop working and engage in activities that I find fun and entertainment. For instance, I watch TV shows and movies, play games, read books, etc. Taking breaks for a few days help me overcome burn out.

Burnout is a normal thing. We all experience it. The fact of the matter remains that we can easily deal with it in many ways. For example, if you have been working in an excessive manner, you can always take a cold shower. This can lift off the weight of stress in a huge manner and it can also reduce burnout. Studies show that cold showers are good for health.

I get burnout, not usually from work, but from the unresolved trauma I have. I do not have confidence in myself, I feel alone and I feel like a useless person at times. My mental health had been unstable for quite a long time but I must go on.

I'm sorry to hear that. But yeah, sometimes taking a break or a good rest will help a lot. Sometimes something as simple as that can help.

Breaks do come in handy, sometimes it's all you can do to sort of rebound from the problem. And I like the idea of switching to something easier or lighter. And of course rest is always recommended when you need it.

Yeah some days you just need to take a step back or slow down or just outright get a break in. We all need mental health days when the work just becomes too much.

Oh definitely, burnout is faced by all, but at varying degrees. Others can last burnout longer while some need to take a break more often. And yeah, there are many ways to deal with it. I used to take cold showers, but can't take them like I used to.

I believe it. I imagine many people face burnout for many different reasons. Some can have burnout from depression, stress, anxiety, and more. SOme have it because of work, others have it because they have kids and are raising a family.
