Sometimes, prolonged stress doesn’t show up as anxiety or sadness, it manifests as numbness and apathy. This emotional burnout makes even enjoyable activities feel like a chore. Reconnecting with small, low-pressure pleasures can help rebuild emotional energy. Have you ever mistaken burnout for laziness?

Yeah sometimes it feels that way. You just feel detaching o matter what it is. But being happy most of times do help

Emotional exhaustion often leads to apathy because constant stress depletes our mental and emotional energy. I’ve felt that disconnect, where nothing excites or motivates me. It’s not a lack of care but a deep fatigue that makes even meaningful activities seem draining.
