Wellness Retreats: Worth It?

Wellness retreats promise relaxation and growth, but they’re pricey. Have you attended one? Did it improve your wellness long-term? What alternatives offer similar benefits on a budget?

Wellness retreats can be worth it if you need deep rest, healing, or a reset. I found one helpful for reconnecting with myself, peaceful setting, healthy food, no distractions. It’s an investment in mental and physical health, especially during burnout.

Wellness retreats can be worth it if you’re seeking a focused break to reset mentally and physically. I haven’t attended one yet, but I’ve heard they offer relaxation, expert guidance, and a supportive environment to build healthy habits. It depends on your goals and budget.

I've never attended one myself and don't know if I ever will. I imagine they are pretty costly and probably aren't covered by insurance. Where I live you can sign yourself in for a visit to a mental health ward. I knew some people who voluntarily signed up to stay at a mental hospital to get through a rough patch in their lives. Of course, that would also depend on your health insurance, as I know it's not free by any means. But it's an option.
