Primary Use: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Dosage Forms:
  • Oral chewable tablets of 10mg, 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg and 60mg
  • Oral capsules of 10mg, 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg, 60mg and 70mg
Common Side Effects:
  • Headache
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Deceased appetite
  • Upper abdominal pain
  • Decrease in weight
Less common side effects:
  • Dry mouth
  • Euphoria
  • Paranoia
  • Disassociation from oneself
  • Crying
  • Melancholy
  • Impulsiveness
  • Mood swings
  • Drowsiness
  • Movement or speech outbursts

How long should it be taken?

Since Vyvanse needs to be tapered, it is best used for as long as the prescribing doctor deems necessary.

  • Vyvanse is significantly effective at the doses between 30 to 40 mg in both children and adults.
  • Studies have proven that Vyvanse is safe and tolerable.
  • Vyvanse has lower daily average consumption and therefore has less need for additional doses.
