Stress Relief Through Nature

Spending time outdoors often eases anxiety and improves focus. Which natural settings help you unwind most effectively, parks, rivers, mountains? How often do you consciously seek nature for mental relief?

Oh yeah, spending time outdoors in nature can be a great way to relieve stress. You can relieve stress by hiking in nature, going for walks, going swimming, hunting, etc. You can also take in the sights. I like to think being out in nature helps calm me, especially seeing all the beautiful sights.

I honestly need to seek out nature more often.

I like Himalayas, the snow capped mountains. It is so peaceful to be around the Himalayas. I am glad that I was born in Nepal, where you can find over 1300 Himalayan mountains, our country has over one third of world's Himalayan mountain range.

I find mountains and rivers most calming—they provide fresh air, quiet, and perspective. I try to seek nature at least weekly, using walks or short hikes to reset my mind and relieve stress.

Nature truly does something to the soul. The moment you go outside and breathe the fresh air, listen to the sounds of the birds, it will instantly calm you down. When I am stressed, I prefer walking by trees or sitting at some water parks. They make me feel better. A simple stroll is enough to change your mood even way more than spending all day scrolling your phone.

Yes, it does. That's why people go to the park to relieve stress. When I am stressed, I like to go to the mountains and stay there for 2-3 days and come back home with more energy. Nature is always helpful for people to destress.

For me, any kind of natural beauty soothes me. I love both mountains and beaches. Even walking in my apartment that has a lot of greenery relieves my stress and anxiety. I live far from mountains and beaches. So, those can be visited only during vacations. Fortunately, our city is surrounded by lakes and beautiful waterfalls and they are few hours drive, worth for weekend gateway. For my day to day walking, my apartment has beautiful nature landscaping with enough greenery. We often go for cycling and trekking on weekends in our nearby areas that are beautiful.
@Nomad . You are really fortunate. Himalaya is beautiful. Even tye states that are in foothills of Himalaya here in India have breathtaking natural beauty.
