Parenting While Managing Your Own Mental Health Struggles

Parenting is tough enough, but managing your own mental health issues, like depression, anxiety, or PTSD, adds another layer of complexity. How do you balance caring for your kids while addressing your mental health needs? Have you found ways to explain your struggles to your children or seek support?

What’s one way you’ve cared for your mental health while being there for your kids?

I’ve seen how my siblings manage stress and anxiety while parenting. They try to stay calm for their kids, even when overwhelmed. Therapy, routines, and talking openly about feelings help them cope. It’s a daily balance, but I seem them doing their best.

Yes it can be very overwhelming but the kids acts like some sort of anchor that keeps them together or grounded. They have to keep staying strong for their kids.
