Ever in an abusive relationship?

I thankfully have never been in an abusive relationship, but I know people who have been. From some family and friends. A good friend of mine was abused right in front of me and a few other friends. I wish back then I would have said something. But I didn't know how to broach the subject. My friend put up with it, but he broke up with her not too long after.

With that being said, how did you come out of an abusive relationship? Did you get through it fine?

I unfortunately have been in an abusive relationship. It wasn't so much physical abuse but mental abuse, and I suffered for 11 years before I was able to speak out and get help to get out.

I have now been out of that situation for 10 years this past February and I couldn't be happier with the life I have with my kids now

I never had experienced in an abusive relationship. In case, I experience it there is no reason to sacrifice, I have to junk the man. I have to stick to my decision to feel happy and in full freedom.
