Can Food Really Affect Your Mood?

People say “you are what you eat.” Have you noticed mood swings or calmness linked to certain foods? What meals or diets help you stay mentally stable and focused?
 
Food affects my mood. If I get to eat what I love to eat, if I eat to my heart content, I will be in a better mood, if I am offered food that I do not like to eat, or if I don't get to earn food that I love to eat, I will be in pretty bad mood. I am epicurean by nature, so I enjoy eating. And eating uplifts my mood.
