Burnout that results in you hating the work you're doing

Let's face it, sometimes burnout causes us to hate the work we're doing. Has any of your work burned you out to the point that you wanted to outright quit? Or you begrudgingly kept going back to work but hated every minute of it?

How do you handle burnout with a job you hate? Should you quit and find another job? Stick with it even though you hate it?

That burnout is very real. I’ve been there before, where every day you just drag yourself to work like they are forcing you 😩. Sometimes it’s not even the job itself, but the stress and pressure. Once you start hating Mondays, that’s your cue to rest or switch things up.

Burnout can twist something you once loved into something you can barely stand. It’s more than exhaustion, it’s emotional detachment and resentment toward your work. When that happens, the key isn’t just resting but re-evaluating your workload, values, and why you started in the first place.
