Overeating and self control

I used to struggle with my weight more than I do these days, as in I used to overeat a lot. I wouldn't say I was a binge eater, but I pigged out on food a lot. These days I've cut that habit and don't eat nearly as much, but I could still benefit from being healthier. Anyway, have you ever had a problem with overeating or binge eating? How did you get through it? What tips would you give others?

I haven’t experienced overeating or binge eating myself, so I can’t speak from personal experience. From what I’ve seen and read, strategies that help include being mindful of triggers, keeping regular meal times, finding non-food coping mechanisms, and seeking professional guidance if needed.

Thanks, I will definitely keep that in mind. I usually keep the same meal times daily, so I'm set there. I find that if I take my mind off of eating, I can get through the day much easier. Usually my hobbies come out when I have an urge to eat.
