And when I talk about relationship, I am including every relationship possible under the sun. I am not limiting myself to marriages or relationships that involves romance and physical intimacy. Love, trust, giving space, acceptance, support....there is a long list of values that one looks forward to in any relationship. What's the most important core value according to you? Well, for me, it is the mutual respect thar is above everything. If there is no respect, the other values don't hold good for long and the relationship can turn toxic too. What's your say here? Feel free to share your views with your backing.

Peace is the best thing in a relationship. You can be attracted to someone but when your mind is not at rest with the person, it will not last. I prefer honesty as well. Then, I have also experienced a relationship where we failed in communication and we both felt exhausted and the relationship ended. I simply want someone that is nice, stable emotionally, honest and can communicate well.

For me, I think I value the connection between the one I love. I'm not in a relationship right now, but when I am in one, I like the connection we have. I value communication, support, and more. I just want someone who loves me for me.

I completely agree that mutual respect is foundational. Without it, trust, support, and even love can erode quickly. For me, honesty is another core value—open communication prevents misunderstandings and builds true intimacy in any relationship. But respect underpins everything; even honest feedback or differing opinions only work when both parties honor each other’s boundaries and dignity. Without respect, all other values lose their strength.
