Over the years, being in the wrong relationship has been the cause of so many persons suffering from mental health issues, or for some who already have one mental health issues or the other, it gets worse. There are so many people in such relationships but are not even aware about how it's affecting their mental health. What are the signs that a relationship is affecting your mental health?

Signs include constant anxiety, feeling drained, loss of self-esteem, and dread about interactions. I’ve noticed when trust or communication breaks down, mental health suffers.

You might feel drained, unsupported, or isolated. Frequent arguments, lack of trust, and feeling unsafe emotionally or physically are red flags. If self-esteem drops or you avoid friends and activities, it’s time to reassess. Your wellbeing should always matter.

When a relationship causes you to worry most of the times, it is certainly affecting your mental health. When you can't be at ease around the person you are in a romantic relationship with, it is surely affecting your mental health and you have to leave.

When your partner constantly makes you feel less of yourself, and doesn't applaud you for anything that you do, then that is a sign that the relationship is a toxic one. It is best to cut off such relationship for the sake of one's mental health
