Generic Name: Asenapine

Primary Use: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder

Dosage Forms:
  • Sublingual tablets of 5mg and10mg
Common Side Effects:
  • Restlessness
  • Increased muscular movements
  • Unusual facial expressions
  • Decreased libido
  • Uncontrolled twisting movements
  • Ophthalmoplegia
  • Abnormal touch sensation
  • Lip smacking/puckering,puffingof cheeks
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Weakness of arms and legs
Long term side effects:

Tardive Dyskinesia

How long should it be taken?
