While it is a known fact that one of the duties of a teacher besides teaching is to be able to identify whatever issue the students have, so they can report back to their parents and guardians. These days most parents are so caught up with work and other challenges of life, that they might not notice certain things. It is the duty of the teachers to take not of these things.

Teachers play an important role in identifying and supporting students with mental health challenges. They're often the first to notice changes in behavior, mood, or academic performance. I believe when teachers build trust and create safe, inclusive classrooms, students feel more comfortable opening up. Teachers can support by listening, referring students to counselors, and promoting positive mental health practices in everyday learning.

When I was in school, some teachers tried to help out troubled students, but honestly, most didn't have the time and even the help given by the school was very weak.

But of course, this was in the 80s and 90s. Things are different now maybe. Do you all feel it's different?
